Nestled within Botanic Gardens, the newly launched café, Small Batch, is located at the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden. Its exterior, featuring a lush blend of tropical and villa-esque elements, is truly hard to miss!

Small Batch is part of The Black Hole Group, a company renowned for its diverse array of Muslim-friendly eateries, such as Tipo Pasta Bar, Working Title, and The Great Mischief.

The café is famous for its unique Build Your Own Board (BYOB) concept where customers can pick and choose a minimum of three items to create their ideal brunch board.

Prices start at $15.90 for three items, $24.90 for five items, with additional items available for $4.90 each. Options include a wide selection of bakes, dairy, greens, fruits, and more!

We opted for sourdough, burrata cheese, chicken sausage, chilli jam, and pickles for our brunch board. The chicken sausage dipped in chilli jam offered a distinctive burst of flavour.

Don’t let its appearance fool you! – The Mushroom Mafalde tastes far better than it looks. (Photo Credit: WriteHaus Asia/Effie T.)

Their Mushroom Pesto Mafalde ($18) is a must-try for pesto lovers! Loaded with a generous serving of sautéed field mushrooms and a rich, flavorful pesto sauce, this hearty dish guarantees a second trip down.

If you’re a fan of Acai, you’ve got to try their Tropical Acai Fruit Smoothie ($9)! The blend of various fruits and acai creates a surprisingly refreshing flavour, especially in Singapore’s heat.
